Our story

It all started with a cardboard box.

It was a drizzly Sunday in Brugge, early 2025. We'd just bought a beautiful €120 linen cat bed — exactly the kind of thing that would have looked perfect in our old Belgian flat. Two weeks later the bed was still untouched in the corner. Our cats were sleeping in the cardboard shipping box it came in.

That afternoon we ordered everything we could find online. Expensive felt caves, oak frames, ceramic igloos. Nothing worked. The cats ignored them or shredded them. And we were left with stuff we didn't even want to look at in our own home.

That was the moment. Why isn't there a shop where both the cat and we are happy? Beautiful things that actually work — not plastic that ends up in the bin after a month.

So we started one ourselves. Linn & Paw is a small shop in Brugge, run by two cat people who'd had enough of compromises. Every product is tested with our own cats and has to pass two tests: the cat has to actually use it, and we have to want to keep it in our home. If it fails either, it doesn't make it in.
